What is 3D printing?3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a process of creating three-dimensional objects from a digital file. The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes, where an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is completed. This allows for complex shapes and designs that are not possible with traditional manufacturing methods.

What materials can I choose for my 3D printed items?We offer a wide range of materials for 3D printing, including PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU (flexible), and more specialized materials like wood fill, metal fill, and glow-in-the-dark filament. Each material has unique properties and applications, such as biodegradability, strength, flexibility, and aesthetic qualities. For more information, please see our Materials page.

How long does it take to print and ship my order?The printing time depends on the complexity and size of the item. Most orders are printed within 2-5 days. Shipping times vary based on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout. We'll provide an estimated delivery date when you place your order, and you'll receive a tracking number once your order ships.

Are there any limitations to what I can print?While 3D printing offers great flexibility in design, there are some limitations due to the size of our printers, the properties of materials, and the complexity of designs. We cannot print objects larger than our maximum print size (256mm x 256mm x 256mm), and designs must be able to be supported during printing or include break-away support structures. We reserve the right to refuse printing of any items that are unlawful, offensive, or violate copyright policies.

How do I order a custom 3D printed item?To order a custom 3D printed item, please contact me at cameron@dutra3d.com. Here, you'll be able to upload your 3D model file (in formats like STL, OBJ, or STEP), specify your desired material and color, and provide any additional instructions. If you don't have a 3D model, you can describe your idea to us, and our design team can create a model for you (additional charges may apply).

Do you offer support for designing custom 3D models?Yes, we offer design support services. If you have an idea but need help turning it into a printable 3D model, our team of experienced designers can assist you. This service is available for an additional fee, which depends on the complexity of the design. Please contact us for a quote.

How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.

Can I order a print in a color not listed on your website?We try to accommodate special requests whenever possible. If you require a color that is not listed, please contact us before placing your order. We may be able to source the color for you or suggest an alternative. Additional charges and lead times may apply for special color requests.
